During treatment and until the skin has healed, your skin in the treatment area is likely to appear noticeably different from normal skin. Side effects such as redness, itching, and burning, are common at the site where Curaderm BEC5 is applied, and sometimes the side effects appear outside of the area where Curaderm BEC5 was applied. Swelling, small open sores, and drainage may also be experienced with the use of Curaderm BEC5. Lesions that were not seen before may appear during treatment and may later go away. If you have questions regarding treatment or skin reactions, please talk with you health provider. Do not use sunlamps or tanning beds, and avoid sunlight as much as possible during treatment with Curaderm BEC5. Curaderm BEC5 should be applied to the lesion at least twice daily. It may be applied more frequently if required. More applications per day will result in faster removal of the lesion.
